Kosmonaut, an ace bar on Tariff Street in the Northern Quarter, are expanding and asked me to paint a mural to brighten up the new area, which opens later today.
Using this print, that I did for Rarekind back in July of last year, as a starting point, we see more giant robots engaging in some Stevenson Square based relaxing. Click here for a large, hastily assembled panorama pic.
The process of expanding the bar did mean the explorer I painted a few months back had to go…
Go and have a look. It’s a rad bar with a fine selection of beers.
I thought I’d post up something a little different from the work I usually put here. This is a video produced by Toasted Productions for Life Technologies which I provided the illustrations for.
The aim of the video was to explain the development of Life Tech’s ‘Attune Acoustic Focusing Flow Cytometer‘ (a device used in laboratories to analyse cell samples). The subject matter was a little wordy and dealt with some concepts that were completely foreign to me, but luckily the script had enough visual metaphors in there to keep my GCSE science terror-flashbacks to a minimum!

Hammo is an Illustrator, living and working in Manchester. His distinctive graphic style combines bold linework, an intricate attention to detail, with an unhealthy obsession for robots and rubble.
